AFC Ajax Coaches Tour
The Ajax Youth Academy is one of a kind!
It is unique, because of its culture and proven history of success and player development. Moreover, the soccer philosophy, the facilities, the innovative approach and the staff are unmatched in the world of sports. There is a consistent style of playing and training, with attainable progressions from one age-group to the next.
The Ajax soccer style is: dominant, fast, technical, attacking, and exciting, preferably on the opponent’s half. Many stars from the Ajax Youth Academy like Johan Cruyff, Marco van Basten, Frank Rijkaard, and Dennis Bergkamp have had an impact on Dutch soccer, not only as a player but also as trainer/coach.
In addition, the following players from the Ajax Youth Academy played for the Dutch national team during the 2010 World Cup: Maarten Stekelenburg, Gregory van der Wiel, Johnny Heitinga, Rafael van der Vaart, and Wesley Sneijder.
