Since 1998, the Mytikas Cup international youth soccer tournament has taken place in Pieria, an area at the foot of Mount Olympus, the mount of the 12 Greek Gods in antiquity. Located approximately 430 km north of Athens, 70 km south of Thessaloniki, and just 6 km south of Katerini (the capital city of Pieria), it is easily accessible from Athens & Thessaloniki’s international airports for youth soccer teams traveling to this tournament. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters, sunshine and excellent accommodations promise all youth soccer teams traveling to this international tournament a very pleasant stay throughout the duration of the tournament.

Remarks:

In categories U11 and U9 the off-side rule doesn’t apply
In categories U17, U15 & U13 a general dispensation is given for 3 overage players born on/after the 1st of August of the year before to play at the same time during the game
In categories U11 a general dispensation is given for 2 overage players born on/after the 1st of August of the year before to play at the same time during the game
- Per game 7 substitutions are allowed. For the 2001 and 2003 born categories unlimited substitutions
- Playing time per game 2*35 (1995), 2*30 (1997) 2*25 (1999 and 2001) 2*20 (2003) and 2 * 40 minutes (ladies).

The tournament will take place on official soccer fields with natural grass located on the territory of the Province of Pieria. Only in case of bad weather the matches will be played on artificial grass.

Pieria is a prefecture situated on the northern part of Greece at the foot of mount Olympus, along the coast of the Aegean Sea. This along with the archaeological sites in the area makes it a very popular vacation spot, with thousands of tourists visiting each year. The area is well equipped with and offers high standards accommodations for all the participants of the Mytikas Cup tournament.

The city of Katerini is the capital of Pieria. It’s 435 km far from Athens and 69 km from "MACEDONIA" airport of Thessaloniki. The city offers a railway and bus station, therefore making it an easy access to and from all the parts of Greece.
