A uniquely cosmopolitan city with something for everyone, it attracts thousands of visitors each year. The popular seaside resort, Salthill, lies just 3 kilometres west of the city which boasts the longest promenade in Ireland. During your visit to Galway you can join in the unique atmosphere and delight in its festivals, music, theatre, restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops and most of all, its friendly people. It is an important centre for promoting the Arts, Crafts and Culture and is home to a number of excellent Art Galleries which promote both Irish and International art.
