Trofeo Mediterraneo - International Soccer Tournament
Each year, Euro-Sportring offers a series of tournaments that are all held under the auspices of CF Tordera. Not only the destination is excellent, the sport facilities are also unique: a sport park between Malgrat de Mar and Lloret de Mar with 9 beautiful grass fields and a view of the sea! If necessary, a few (artificial) grass pitches in the nearest surroundings will be used. And Barcelona? The bus or train gets you there no time. A visit to Nou Camp, the home port of Barcelona, is, of course, an absolute must!

Sport Facilities

The Trofeo Mediterraneo takes place in a fantastic sport park, situated in Tordera (just outside Blanes) between Lloret de Mar in the north and Calella in the south. The distance from our various hotels will be 6 and 12 miles. From this unique sport accommodation, which you will not find elsewhere in Spain, you can enjoy a beautiful view on the sea. There are nine well kept grass fields (attention: no metal studs allowed!) and eighteen modern equipped changing rooms. Of course you find here a bar/cafetaria and a covered space for when the sun is shining hot. On this sport park you also have at your disposal our central tournament office, our information desk with clear scoreboards, the room for medical assistance, a field for training before and/or between the matches and large parking facilities. A unique ambiance for a football tournament.

Touristic Information

  • The coast north of Barcelona accommodates a chain of popular seaside resorts. Here you will find kilometres wide, sandy beaches and living sea resorts with a lot of entertainment possibilities for young and old. Each resort has its own characteristics and attractions: Calella with its bustling centre, the beach of Santa Susanna, the charming atmosphere of Malgrat, the picturesque boulevard with the fisherman's wharf in Blanes, the sparkling nightlife of Lloret and the breath taking cliffs of the Costa Brava around Tossa de Mar. Wherever you stay, it is for sure that you won't have enough time to explore all the attractions in this area.

  • Dinner show in medieval castle in Tordera (5 km from Blanes and Malgrat). Go back 400 years in time, right into the dark ages. Relive the battles of the knights, follow jousting competitions on horseback and end the party dancing to the merry tunes of the flamenco orchestra. Entry fee: ± € 23 per person including dinner.

  • Barcelona . Who does not know the great attractions of this beautiful Olympic city? If not, go for it, because Barcelona is truly a unique city. You will need more than a day to explore the centre. Nevertheless you can catch the spirit if you follow the following programme: the Sagrada Familia ‑ one of the landmarks of Barcelona, the cathedral by Gaudi with a bizarre architecture, Plaza de Cataluña and the Ramblas ‑ the heart of the city full of shops, restaurants and terraces, the gothic quarter with its narrow, picturesque alleys, the Mount Juic ‑ the mountain right in the centre with the Olympic facilities, castle and attraction park plus of course a magnificent view over the city and the sea, Plaza España ‑ the square with the famous fountains and beautiful palaces. More information http://www.bcn.cat/.

  • FC Barcelona. Barcelona football club is one of the greatest European football clubs. No wonder, since football is the most popular sport in Catalonia. But for Catalans “Barça” is more than just a club. On one hand there is the impressive track record of famous players such as Kubala, Luis Suarez, Maradonna, Johan Cruijff, Romario and Ronaldo. On the other hand there is its alignment with Catalonian history. During the dictatorship of Franco, when all manifestations of catalanism were forbidden, Barça became a kind of a national symbol. Besides a visit on your own, there is also a guided tour through the stadium and/or you can visit the Barça museum. Opening hours: Monday – Saturday: 10.00 – 18.30 hrs.; Sundays and holidays (!): 10.00 – 14.00 hrs. Additional facilities: souvenir shop and cafetaria. Admission fees: adults €11,-, children under 13 €8,50 for guided tour through the stadium and entrance to the museum. More information: http://www.fcbarcelona.com/.

  • Though the flamenco dance originates from the southern part of Spain, almost any resort on the coast has one or more theatres where you can enjoy a great performance. The entry fee depends on the show you wish to select. The costs depend on which show you would like to visit. The tournament office will inform you on request about the possibilities and entry fees.

  • Boat cruises along the coast. Most seaside resort along the coast are linked by small cruise boats. Step easily somewhere on a boat and surprise yourself! The itinerary is quite frequent so don't worry when you miss the boat. Most worthwhile to cruise is the rocky coast between Lloret and Tossa de Mar.

  • Attraction park Marineland in Palafolls (Surrounding Malgrat-Calella) with dolphins and a sea-lions show. Entry fee: ± € 10 per person.
