The Braden River Soccer Club traveled from Florida to Europe for a team tour of Italy. The club began their trip in Rome with some sightseeing including the Colosseum, Regio IV, Templum Pacis (Temple of Peace), the Roman Forum and the Vatican. After leaving Rome, the next stop for the girls was Montecatini and Florence. Included in their sightseeing was the Montecatini Terme Funicular, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Viareggio (a popular seaside resort on the Mediterranean), the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, the Oltrarno, the Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and of course Piazza Michelangelo. Finishing up their tour, the club spent a day in Venice where they visited the famous city of gondolas built on small islands and connected by bridges. While abroad, Premier International Tours arranged for the team to compete in three friendlies against AS Roma, Res Roma and Rinascita Doccia. Alison Copper with Braden River Soccer Club had the following to say about their tour: “Premier International tours worked on setting up the trip of a lifetime for our girls. They were in constant communication with our team, setup all tours and asked our opinions on what we needed scheduled. Everything went as planned and we were able to prepay for some tours which worked out great. Loek and Mike were instrumental in making this trip to Italy a success! Everyone had a wonderful time.”
