Brazil is the most successful national soccer team in the history of the FIFA World Cup, having won five championships (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002). They are also the most successful team in the FIFA Confederations Cup, with four titles, and most recently won the 2019 Copa América. The Brazil Women’s National Team has had recent success as well, reaching the Round of 16 at the 2019 Women’s World Cup. A common quip about Brazilian soccer is: "Os ingleses o inventaram, os brasileiros o aperfeiçoaram" ("The English invented it, the Brazilians perfected it"). Brazil has produced some of the world’s best international players in the history of the game, including Pelé, Zico, Romário, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Kaká. This makes Brazil an almost perfect place for international soccer teams to travel to and learn more about the Brazilian style of soccer.

Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city of Brazil and the third largest metropolitan area in South America. The city was the capital of Brazil for nearly two centuries. Rio is nicknamed A Cidade Maravilhosa or "The Marvelous City." Rio de Janeiro is the most visited city in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's known for its natural settings, carnival celebrations, samba, Bossa Nova, and famous beaches such as Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. Some of the most famous landmarks, in addition to the beaches, include the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado Mountain—named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World—the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) with its cable car, the Sambódromo, a permanent parade avenue used during Carnival, and Maracanã Stadium, one of the world's largest football stadiums.” Lastly, change last sentence to “Rio de Janeiro hosted the 2016 Summer Olympics, becoming the first South American city to host the event, and hosted the final match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Sprawling across half of South America, Brazil has captivated travelers for at least 500 years. Powdery white-sand beaches, lined with palm trees and fronting a deep blue Atlantic, stretch for more than 7000km. Dotting the coastline are tropical islands, music-filled metropolises, and enchanting colonial towns. Inland, Brazil offers dazzling sights of a different flavor: majestic waterfalls, red-rock canyons, and crystal-clear rivers – all just a small part of the natural beauty. Its larger and more famous attractions are the Amazon and the Pantanal, the pair hosting some of the greatest biodiversity on the planet. Wildlife watching is simply astounding here, as is the opportunity for adventure – though you needn't go to the jungle to find it. Brazil is famous as well for its Carnival, the most popular Brazilian festivity, surpassing Christmas, Easter, or New Year celebrations.
