The Costa Blanca Cup has been around for almost 30 years. With more than 300 teams from 20 different nationalities the Costa Blanca Cup is considered one of the top tournament in Spain. Host city of this tournament is the city of Benidorm. Benidorm is a seaside resort on the eastern coast of Spain, part of the Valencia region’s famed Costa Blanca. A tiny fishing village till the 1960s, it’s now a popular Mediterranean holiday destination known for its 2 wide sandy beaches, Levante Beach and Poniente Beach, backed by palm-lined promenades, bars and, shops and restaurants. Valencia is located 100 miles north of Benidorm.

Monday night the Costa Blanca has its opening ceremony. More than 4,000 participants will line up on the beach of Benidorm and parade through the street to end up on the main square where the opening continues by music, dance and a firework display. Wednesday night the team coaches can show their skills and play in an international coaches game. On Thursday team managers and coaches are invited for the “Team Leaders’ Dinner”, a festive event to thanks the coach and manager of each team.

Tour games are played on first class grass and artificial fields in Benidorm and other surrounding cities.
