The Challenge Cup invites you to take on teams from all over the world in one of Europe’s most stunning destinations. Set to be the largest multi-sport tournament in Portugal in 2025, the Challenge Cup takes place in the Algarve.
The Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region, is famous for its Atlantic beaches and resorts. Its fishing villages were transformed in the 1960s, and now the coast between Lagos and Faro is lined with villas, hotels, and restaurants. The Challenge Cup is the perfect tournament to experience international soccer while visiting some of the most unique locations Europe has to offer.




Age Categories:
Boys 11v11 - players born after January 1, 2009-2013 (2026) and January 1, 2010-2014 (2027)
Boys 9v9 - players born after January 1, 2014 (2026) and January 1, 2015 (2027)
Boys 7v7 - players born after January 1, 2014-2017 (2026) and January 1, 2015-2018 (2027)
Girls 11v11 - players born after January 1, 2009-2011 (2026) and January 1, 2010-2012 (2027)
Age Dispensation Rules for USA teams: Due to differences in age-group cut-off dates across competitions, automatic age dispensation will be granted to players on USA teams who were born on or after August 1 of the previous age-category year. Example: If the tournament age category is players born on or after January 1, 2011, then players born between August 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 will automatically receive dispensation.

The tournament will take place on 10 fields near the southern coast of Portugal. Each field offers stunning sights and a unique tournament atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
