The MADCUP takes place primarily in Madrid, Spain, with the main venue being the Atlético de Madrid sports center in Alcalá de Henares. Other matches and activities are held across various municipalities within the Community of Madrid, making it a widespread regional event.


2. When does the MADCUP take place?

The MADCUP takes place from June 19-24, 2026. The tournament typically takes place during the second or third week of June every year, perfect for American teams to attend during their summer school breaks.

3. What age groups and genders can play at the MADCUP?

​​​

Boys U7-U19 and Girls U12-U19.

4. What is the cost to attend the MADCUP?

​

To go to the MADCUP, the price per person package starts at $2,900.00. This package includes round-trip airfare, accommodation in a 4-star hotel, tournament registration, breakfast and dinner, and a private bus and tour assistant will be available exclusively for your group.

5. How many teams play in the MADCUP?

​​​​

The MADCUP in Spain features over 800 teams from more than 34 countries, with more than 14,000 players participating annually. The MADCUP is recognized as the largest federated international youth football tournament.

6. Where do teams stay during the MADCUP?

​​​​

Teams participating in the MADCUP stay in 4-star hotels in Madrid outside the city center approx. 14 miles from the city center. This proximity to the center of Madrid allows for fantastic leisure and sightseeing time during their stay.

7. Why should my teams choose the MADCUP?

​

The MADCUP has a jaw-dropping opening ceremony, which takes place in the stadium of the local Spanish pro team, Atletico Madrid. The MADCUP features top youth teams from clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, Sporting Club Portugal and Juventus FC. Games take place on over 40 fields across more than 30 soccer complexes in and around Madrid, all featuring artificial or natural grass, with one of these complexes being Atlético de Madrid’s official training facility.

8. What are sightseeing options while participating in the MADCUP?

While participating in the MADCUP, teams can enjoy sightseeing in Madrid and nearby Toledo, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Santiago Bernabéu and Wanda Metropolitano stadiums, exploring Madrid’s historic sites, vibrant neighborhoods, and experiencing local culture through tapas, flamenco shows, and famous churros with chocolate.
