Feyenoord FAQs

1. What makes Feyenoord's development philosophy unique?

  • Feyenoord is internationally recognized for producing technically gifted, tactically intelligent players. Their academy, based at Varkenoord, has developed notable players like Robin van Persie. Your team will train within this same system, gaining direct insight into one of Europe's most respected development models.

2. What are the individual player meetings on the Feyenoord Tour?

  • Each player receives two dedicated one-on-one meetings with their own coach and a Feyenoord academy staff member. These sessions provide personalized feedback on individual development, technique, and tactical understanding — a feature unique to this program.

3. What does "talent identification and scouting exposure" mean for my players?

  • During training sessions at the club's official facilities, your players will train alongside and be evaluated by the club's professional academy staff — the same coaches who develop players within the club's elite pathway. This means your players aren't just receiving instruction; they're being genuinely observed by professionals who identify talent at the club level. This is a rare, authentic opportunity that goes far beyond a typical tour experience.

4. What is included in the starting price of an Elite Development Tour?

  • The starting price includes round-trip airfare, all ground transportation and airport transfers, hotel accommodation, meals (as specified per program), a professional match ticket, matches against pro youth clubs (or other teams of a similar level), all training and classroom sessions with club academy staff, a stadium tour, and club gear. Prices are based on departure from New York in Spring with 40 travelers. Airport taxes and fuel surcharges (approx. $250–$350 per person) are additional. Contact us for a detailed quote based on your group size, departure city, and travel dates.

5. What age groups and skill levels are Elite Development Tours designed for?

  • Our Elite Development Tours are designed for competitive youth and college-level teams. However, teams do not need to be elite-level — the programs are structured to challenge and develop players across a range of competitive backgrounds.

6. How many training sessions and matches are included?

  • Each program includes a combination of professional training and classroom sessions with club academy staff, plus organized matches against local youth clubs of a similar level. The exact number varies by club — full details are listed in each program's inclusions. A suggested day-by-day itinerary is also provided on each page so you can see exactly how the week is structured.

7. Can family members and supporters join the tour?

  • Yes — family members and supporters are welcome to join the group for aspects including air and ground transportation, accommodation arrangements, watching training sessions and games, etc. Please note that supporters who arrange their own travel independently are not included in the group for any aspect of the tour, including ground transportation, accommodation arrangements, match tickets, and other items.

8. How much sightseeing can my team expect on an Elite Development Tour?

  • Elite Development Tours are intentionally more soccer-focused than a standard tour. The program is designed to immerse your team in the daily lifestyle and culture of professional players — with training sessions, matches, and time spent at the club's official facilities taking priority. That said, sightseeing is still part of the experience, but the amount varies by program. Some destinations naturally offer more built-in sightseeing opportunities than others, so if this is an important factor for your group, we're happy to walk you through which programs best balance development with cultural exploration.

9. When should I book and how far in advance?

  • We recommend booking 8–14 months in advance to allow adequate time for fundraising, player preparation, and travel planning. That said, we work with teams on a range of timelines — contact us early and we'll let you know what's available.

10. How do I start planning an Elite Development Tour?

  • Getting started is straightforward:

    • Reach out — contact us with your group size, preferred destination(s), which international airport your group can leave from, and your ideal travel window.

    • Get your custom proposal — our team will build a detailed, transparent itinerary and pricing proposal tailored to your program.

    • Confirm and go — lock in your tour with a deposit, and we handle all the logistics from there.

  • With 40+ years of experience and a BBB A+ rating, Premier International Tours has helped hundreds of college programs create unforgettable experiences abroad.
