Philadelphia Union took teams to the prestigious 2018 IberCup Cascais in Portugal!

During the Easter Holidays Philadelphia Union took some of their teams to the prestigious 2018 IberCup Cascais in Portugal - one of the most distinguished youth soccer tournaments in the world. Each year, over 40,000 players come together from all over the world to compete against each other on the soccer field. They played with their 2008 and 2007 teams vs. international top teams like Belenses, Vitoria Guimaraes, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Barcelona, Getafe, Benfica, Atletico Madrid and PAOK and ended up with 12 wins, 2 ties and 1 loss.

After the tour the coaching staff of the Union stated: “Thank you very much for hosting us for a great ten days in Portugal. The coaches and the players definitely learned a lot, and hopefully the coaches can incorporate some of the lessons they learned into plans for future training”.
