Conrad Weiser High School traveled from PA to Europe with Premier International Tours to enjoy an 8-night tour of England and Scotland. The group began their time with five days in London, followed by three days in Glasgow and Edinburgh. While in London, the group visited the largest occupied castle in the world (and home of the Queen), the Windsor Castle. Some of the other sightseeing in London included The London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London. London was not all about sightseeing. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams had the opportunity to have a training session with coaches from Watford F.C, compete in two games, watch a pre-season game between Fulham F.C and West Ham United, and tour Anfield Stadium (Home of Liverpool F.C.). Next stop on the tour was Glasgow and Edinburgh. The group began their time with a training session with coaches from Celtic F.C Academy and were able to get some sightseeing in which included Edinburgh Castle, St. Giles Cathedral, and the National Museum of Scotland. Thy also played games vs. Port Glasgow Junior Boys and Greenock Morton Girls. In Glasgow part of the trip was filled with leisure and shopping before the groups’ last set of games. Both teams took on Drumchapel United in an evening game to end the trip.
