After a week in Spain Team Elmhurst has returned home!

After a week in Spain Team Elmhurst has returned home! Team Elmhurst competed in the Copa Mediterraneo in Tordera close to Barcelona with 2 teams. The boys team competed very well and the girls team lost in the finals 1 to 2 after a great run (they didn’t give up a single goal until the finals!) Over all Team Elmhurst finished the tournament in a very impressive fashion.

Off the field Team Elmhurst had the opportunity to visit the Sagrada Familia, the sacred mountain of Montserrat, Camp Nou – home of FC Barcelona, Blanes Beach, a town just north of Barcelona on the coast, and the beautiful city of Girona. Not only did they get an international soccer experience but they got to see Spanish Culture at its finest. Karsten Roy, the Director of Coaching for Team Elmhurst said; "We all had a great time on the Barcelona Spain trip! These are once in a lifetime trips for our players and families at TESC."
